BUSY WEEK IN PARADISE

Last week was a fine and busy one at Crystal. Casey Sanders passed his glider instructor checkride and Richard Smolinski got this commercial. Congratulations guys!Also, five Crystal Squadron pilots flew a total of five Diamond Distance flights in two days, including Sean Eckstein’s first in his newly acquired ASW-20, Papa Victor. (See two write-ups of flights to Utah and Nevada in our SOARING IS LEARNING section, below.)This coming week we can expect to see more cumulus development, while chances of an actual thunderstorm near the airport remain typically low.
