CATCHING UP and LOOKING AHEAD

First we must congratulate Jeff Jewell and Chris Schwurack who both passed their check rides recently, and we failed to mention them at the time.This past midweek we saw a couple of the finest thermal soaring days so far this season, bright and clear with perfectly spaced cumulus spread all across the sky.  That's scheduled to change again this weekend.  Expect cool and windy, with potential wave if it's southerly enough.Now about this summer:  We will have a tow plane at Bishop, Friday July 15th through Monday July 18th.  If you plan to bring your own glider to receive tows from us, you must contact our office (during our regular business hours Fri/Sat/Sun/Mon) and pre-pay fees for tows prior to Monday June 27th.  Even if you currently have block rate credit with us, you still need to contact our office prior to June 27th to let us know your intentions about bringing your glider to Bishop.  We will not be launching anyone without pre-payment.e-mail: office@soaringacademy.org  or call 866-945-0240We still have some availability (noon and 3pm each day) for 3 hour instructional flights in one of our high performance gliders, for the same dates at Bishop.Contact office@soaringacademy.org to reserve, it’s first come, first served.
