COOLING TREND

This has been an interesting midweek to watch from the ground.  Big convection over the mountains has built up dark clouds there and dropped a little welcome precip, but out over the desert it resulted only in tall lines of lift.  Each afternoon the shearline along the Mojave river valley was dressed with its own curtains of virga, but no monsoon style storms.  And now comes a cooling trend with WAVE likely on Friday, strong wind from the west on Saturday (good day for the work camp) and perhaps back to post-frontal thermal streets on Sunday.  Something for everyone, it seems!
