High and Dry

Thursday, April 28:      The recent windy period seems to have ended.   We did some staff training flights today and found rampant blue thermals over the desert, plus shearline high over the mountains marked by patches of fat, scrappy cumulus.    Finally we can get high enough to escape the local area  (& presumably high enough  'out there'  to get back).   Not many daze left to enjoy fine thermal conditions without the heat we'll feel for the next several months.
