WEATHER FORECAST FOR SCSA (CRYSTALAIRE - 46CN) MAY 15 - 17, 2010THIS WEEKEND (SATURDAY THROUGH MONDAY)The return of FANTASTIC soaring conditions is forecast this weekend. We haven't seen a forecast with thermal heights above 10,000 for a long time. Temps in the upper eighties this weekend will facilitate great thermal potential with predicted velocities up to 700 FPM. Monday the wind direction is forecast to change to the southeast (soaring conditions will continue to be excellent) indicating the brief passage of a low ahead of a large high pressure system that will bring hot dry offshore weather to the southwest through next week.
