SOARING FORECAST MARCH 29 - APRIL 1, 2013

THIS WEEK An interesting mix of good spring soaring conditions are on tap this period. We'll have excellent thermal conditions for this time of year Friday improving to better on Saturday. Dr. Jacks forecast is for up to 550 FPM of lift at the field Friday and Saturday.The steady SOUTH winds even though not very strong will likely create some local small wave conditions north of our San Gabriel mountains Friday and Saturday. Max daytime temps are the warmest we've seen all season reaching into the 70's.Sunday and Monday will mark the arrival of a cold front and big change in conditions. Moisture aloft will work into the equation producing clouds marking lift. We'll have wave conditions Sunday improving to STRONG WAVE ON MONDAY.Spring soaring in varied conditions throughout this period. It's going to be an excellent weekend.
