SOARING FORECAST MAY 6 to 9, 2011
CURRENT SOARING FORECAST FOR SCSA (CRYSTALAIRE - 46CN) MAY 6 to 9, 2011 Our persistent hot high pressure and offshore trend of last week will slowly break down this weekend with the arrival of a low pressure system from the west pushing it eastward. We will still have hot weather here but cooler each day. Our wind will change and come from the west throughout the period at times gusty. The thermal velocity and height of lift forecasts look very good throughout this period. The skew-t chart forecast for Friday also looks quite good. See below. I am predicting a classic soaring weekend at Crystal with easy thermals and the ability to easily stay aloft. Come on out and have a great time!
