SOARING FORECAST SEPTEMBER 28 -OCTOBER 1, 2012

THIS WEEKEND:Fantastic soaring conditions for this period. Dr. Jacks forecast indicates lift over 600 FPM to above 12,000 Friday and Saturday. Calm to gentle winds are forecast.We will heat up a bit each day as a high pressure system pushes in from the east. Monday will be the hotest day but curiously enough, it will be cooler here at the field than it will be in Los Angeles and surrounding valley areas. The dry easterly air flow will compress into the LA basin as it descends the mountains heating the valley and making it hotter than our high desert area.
