The Week That Was

Thursday, April 14:     Last week was a classic example of why this is such a GREAT soaring site.   Friday, while it rained in LA, we had 8-knot thermals and strong wave from a low tow, well up into oxygen country.   Saturday brought even stronger thermals under freezing cumulus, and Sunday was almost balmy with converging breezes popping blue lift almost everywhere.   Monday was the 'worst' day of the week, with 4-6 knot thermals, all the way up over the highest mountaintops - the kind of stuff that would be one of the best days of an entire summer back east...     What a PLAYGROUND!
