'TIS THE SEASON

Last week that extended period of fine but unsoarable weather came to a welcome end, with two days of classic wave followed by a day of thermal and shearline activity - plus even more wave to finish off the weekend.Now that we've got the air moving again, our Soaring Academy will be holding  a wave camp at California City, headed up by Dave Raspet, from Friday, March 13  through Monday march 16th.  Tows will be availabale for pilots with their own gliders as well as Academy student and renter packages.  There will be a MANDATORY wave camp briefing AT CRYSTAL on Saturday March 7th at 10:00 A.M.  Further details will be forthcoming.  Please call us this weekend for further information, at 866-945-0240 and ask for Chris or Julie.Also, click on this link to view a recent AOPA article about our Education-Outreach GLIDER-STEM program:http://www.aopa.org/News-and-Video/All-News/2015/January/29/Soaring-in-school
