WINA - WHERE?

Only two Crystal Squadron members soared cross-country last Saturday, but both Dave Raspet and Peter Kovari reached Winnemucca, Nevada – a distance of about 450 statute miles!   We're now into the period that ordinarily brings the best and most consistent soaring conditions of our 12-month season, so stay tuned for more! These industrious pilots often write blow-by-blow accounts of their adventures, and one noteworthy thing about those stories is how often changes of strategy are needed in-flight.  Soaring at its best is an interpretive art, demanding creative solutions to problems that arise as conditions evolve.   If a pilot doesn't handle this crisis properly, the next one may not even come up...
