CURRENT SOARING FORECAST FOR SCSA (CRYSTALAIRE - 46CN) DECEMBER 3-6, 2010 THIS WEEKEND : Starting Friday the persistent offshore trend that has been with us will depart with our usual west/southwest flow returning through Monday. Monday a high pressure system is again forecast to bring easterly flow to our area. Very light winds throughout the period.There is a chance of rain at the coast Sunday to Monday but our high desert area will be dry and mostly clear. Some chance of upper level stratus Sunday into Monday.Some weak but persistent thermal activity is forecast for the weekend (see chart below). Opportunity to keep your thermal hunting and capturing skills honed during the wave and ridge lift season.
