SOARING FORECAST AUGUST 5 THROUGH 8, 2011
CURRENT SOARING FORECAST FOR SCSA (CRYSTALAIRE - 46CN) AUGUST 5 THROUGH 8, 2011 DID YOU SAY YOU WANTED HOT? OK. HOW ABOUT TEN DAYS OF 100 DEGREE PLUS WEATHER.Another high pressure system will build in east of us and push west. We are entering a warming trend that will persist for more than a week with no relief in sight. The monsoonal flow that caused so much over-development last week is thankfully not forecast to build in this time around. LAST WEEK the southeast monsoonal flow created some interesting skies with cloudbursts at the field and played havoc with our soaring Sunday. Southeast wind at Crystal usually makes finding lift difficult here so thankfully this week it's all west and southwest.
