THERMALING (the easy way)

It is most important to remain STEADY.  Make a point of sitting straight in the cockpit - not leaning to one side - with the yaw string directly in the middle of your field of view, so you can look through it to the horizon and react instantaneously.  Recognize that the best results come only through a fluid economy of movement.   (Jerking the stick DOES NOT equal control!)   Heed the words of the immortal Bard:        Do not saw the air too much with your hand, but use all gently;  For in the very torrent, tempest, and whirlwind of your passion, you must acquire and beget a temperance that may give it SMOOOTHNESS.                                                                                                                                                                  Shakespeare
